CS-Cart User Activation By Mail: This magnificent extension has been provided the feature of activation of a user account via mail. Users are required to activate their newly created account via a confirmation link sent to the email address provided while registering.
Verification of email addresses helps to reduce spam and also make sure that the registered id belongs to that member.
It reduces the registration process and gives an easy way to register with the store as a vendor or as a customer. Admin can configure the settings and allow users to register as a customer or vendors.

Users can register with an email by entering their details.
Admin settings
The admin will set the customer and vendor settings separately from the backend panel.
Vendor settings
Users can register as a customer or vendors from the registration panel.
Template Settings
The admin can set the template from the settings and configure it with the mail.
Why do we need CS-Cart User Activation By Mail?
If a customer registers themselves on their own it's an added advantage of the store. Customer will add their details and register with the store.
The admin needs to configure some functionality with the backend and customers can take the advantage of it.
Parameters for Customer Activation
To complete the customer registration process via mail admin needs to complete the setup process from the backend.
- Allow login permission so users can log in via mail.
- Allow deletion permission for inactive users who didn't activate their account in given time duration.
- The admin needs to set the expiration time of the registration email.
Reminder Mail Settings
The admin can activate the reminder mail for their customer who wants to register with the email.
- Enter a separate password for cron to send a reminder mail to customers.
- For vendors, the admin also can set the reminder mails by securing them with a password.
Customer Registration via Email
Customers can register via email in a very simple process.
- Customer will enter their details like email id and password.
- The customer needs to agree with the terms and conditions.
- Registration mail will send to the customer’s mail id.
- After confirmation user will get access to the store.

I had some issues setting this up initially, mainly as I'm using a custom theme (still customising it :-)).
I dropped a ticket to these guys expecting a wait as it's oinly a cheap addon. WOAH! Vivek was in my inbox asking for access within the hour. 30 minutes later and he had sorted the issue.
Everything works like a dream - solves my issue of people using false email addresses to get cheaper deals :-)
