Joomla Content Gravatar: Joomla Content Gravatar is one of the spectacular plugins. This addon provides two major features the first one is "Author Box" in which all the relevant information related to the author will be display with that box like option to display Gravatar profile link, information about an author like name, Gravatar image, email id, number of hits an article publish date and many more. You can set the "Author Box" position from the available option "above article" and "below article". The second feature is "Pop-Up" in which the Gravatar profile data of a user will be pop-up on mouse hover on user's email id in the content.

We enable author box and article details to show but article details are not displayed in author box?

This is because you did not select any field to show under author box. Please, select fields you wish to display under author box from plugin configurations.

Gravatar details not displayed in author box and popup for some emails and authors?

This probably just because the user does not have Gravatar account.

Why are article details displayed twice, In author box and an article too?

If you want to display article details in the author box. So it is recommended that you disable the display of article details from article options. Otherwise, article details display twice as one based on article options and one on Gravatar extension.

Why popup not displayed in some cases on hover?

This probably just because a user does not have Gravatar account.

Why old details displayed in author box and popup after updating details in Gravatar?

This is because Content Gravatar uses Joomla Cache. Hence either clear cache and check or cache will be cleared as per time set in configurations.

What details can we show from Gravatar?

Content Gravatar will allow you to display user profile pic, username, preferred name, gravatar link.

Can we manage what to show in author box and on the popup?

Yes, Admin can set what to show in author box and what to show in popup separately.

Is this extension compatible with modules and third-party extensions?

As of now, this extension is compatible with only Joomla articles and custom modules.

Can we configure author box and popup view?

Yes, admin can configure views as to match site template. Options to set the background colour, border colour, font colour are provided.

Why this extension not working on custom modules?

This is because you did not enable the option 'Prepare content' in module configurations.
