Opencart Admin Buyer Chat

The admin can do the configuration of opencart buyer-seller module. In this part of the module the admin can:

• Set chat window title and login button title that will visible at customer end.
• Select chat window position as left or right.
• Bound the largest image size for the profile picture.
• Select extension of customer’s profile image.
• Configure the color of client’s online and offline chat window.
• Select chat window background as image background or color background.
• Set the block message that will appear at customer end if admin will block customer.
• Set the error message that will appear to the customer if the server will stop.
• Fill the server settings in the terms of hostname and port.

After the configuration of the module, the admin will see a new tab as “Store Chat” in the admin panel. After clicking on this tab, the admin will see a window that has a list of buyers. The admin can start a chat by clicking on it. Here the admin can do the following:

• Chat many customers at a time.
• Block and delete a customer.
• Set the status of chat as online, busy and offline.
• Filter the chat history as last 24 hours, last 7 days, and forever.
• Search a customer by name in search bar.
• If admin blocks a customer then the customer will not able to chat with admin.

In the admin section, a show will show in the chat window. The admin has an option to block the user. The admin can also send a message to the buyer while blocking the user. Recipient and email id of the user will also be shown in the block user window.

• Admin can delete the all chat history of the buyer.
• A user is not able to send the messages to admin after block.

When the buyer opens the chat window, the buyer will see the name of admin over there. A buyer can chat with admin and have following options:

• Both registered and unregistered buyers can see the chat window.
• Unregistered buyers should have login/signup first for the chat with admin.
• Buyer can download the chat history and report to the manager.
• Buyer can end and start the chat.
• If admin sends a message, notification will show in buyer end.
• Change the status of chat window as online, busy and offline.
• Date and time will visible in customer chat window.

This module enables an additional feature that allows full control over the profile picture. The users can set their profile image for the chat window along with switch availability status as busy, offline.

• While configuration, the admin can set which image extension and size should allow for profile image.
• The admin can download and print email transcripts and send them to the customer for better communication.
• The admin can even also change their profile picture from the store backend.
