Using the One time password for Adobe Commerce module the store owner can integrate the OTP feature on the Magento store to authenticate the customers. Why Do We Need OTP (One Time Password) for Magento 2 Module?

One of the best ways to get rid of those fake customers is to authenticate the process. This can only be done by validating the process via email or mobile (SMS) OTP authentication. Integrating OTP for Different Customer Action
The admin can enable the OTP for a different customer action like customer login, creating an account, forget the password, and other. OTP can be sent via email or SMS.

OTP Generation During Checkout

OTP Generation (During Sign-in)

Customers can now log in only when they have completed the authentication process by entering the OTP One Time Password (received through SMS to their mobile or through email).
- Reduce fraud at the time of sign-in by authenticating the customers.
- It provides dual authentication to recognize the customers who had already registered.

OTP Generation (If-Forget the Password)
Now Customers can reset their passwords by entering the OTP that is used to verify and get the link to change the password. This feature is required for the customers so that they can easily log in to their account page.
- In the verification process, an OTP is also sent to the customer along with the link.
- Two links will be sent to the customer one is to validate and the other is to reset the password.
- This allows the customers to easily reset their passwords.
OTP Generation Via Email or Mobile (SMS)
The admin can decide and set up whether to send OTP using the email or SMS. Twilio Auth service is used to send OTP using the SMS
- The admin can decide if the OTP should be sent via SMS or not.
- Email OTP is sent in the case of SMS failure.
- Twilio credentials are used to configure SMS.
