    EFK Setup for Bagisto

Bagisto EFK Setup: Our EFK plan provides the implementation of Elasticsearch, Fluentd and Kibana into Bagisto application as a standardized logging and monitoring stack. This framework enhances the code 's quality and allows users to access and analyze log data in real time, and helps to identify bugs. Under this stack, Fluentd gathers log data from multiple sources located in each cluster's pods. After that, the log data is transformed and distributed to the backend of Elasticsearch. In Elasticsearch, the data is first processed and then transferred to Kibana, where the data is visualised. Therefore, this stack provides a robust logging and monitoring system, that facilitates interactive, userfriendly, and unified logging, visualization, and much more.

Bagisto EFK Setup: EFK stack helps to search, monitor, and analyze large data sets. It is basically used for Logging and Monitoring. This helps users to visualize and understand the log data in real-time and helps them to correct bugs and enhance the quality of code. Therefore, this stack provides a robust logging and monitoring system, that facilitates interactive, user-friendly, and unified logging, visualization, and much more. Furthermore, EFK is a combination of three terms - Elastic Search, Fluentd, and Kibana.

    Please Note:-

    • The client itself provides a server with the integration of Bagisto and Webserver logs for the installation and implementation of Elasticsearch, Fluentd, and Kibana.
    • It's a one-time set-up installation plan.

E – Elastic Search – Tool for Searching Log Data

Elastic Search refers to an analytics engine, which is used to stored logs and helps in searching the immediate data required from the large volume of data sets. It is an open-source, widely distributed, promptly adaptable web search tool. It can be used by a developer to find the unnecessary data in the heap to save both time and manpower. Elastic Search can monitor extremely rapid searches and simplifies the processing, visualization, and reporting of results. It helps against large volumes of data in fast and insightful searching.

F – Fluentd – Routing and Collecting Log Data

Fluentd is known as Log Shippers. It helps in collecting, transforming, and shipping log data to the Elastic search backend to speed up the search process. It is also known as Data Collectors because it gathers all log data in a centralized location and helps in unifying data logs. It is an open-source data collector that we will install to tail container log files on our Kubernetes nodes, and then filter and transform log data, and deliver to the Elasticsearch cluster where it will be indexed and stored.

    K – Kibana – Log Data Visualization

Kibana is described as Web Interface for Elastic Search. It is used for visualization, therefore it is a web interface used to visualize data with the help of different forms of the chart in elastic search. Kibana is Elastic Search's data visualization and management tool which provides histograms, line graphs, pie charts, and maps in real-time. It also provides specialized software such as Canvas, which allows users to create custom dynamic details graphics that are suitable for their data, and Elastic Maps for geospatial data visualization.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is EFK Setup For Bagisto Plan?
We've exclusively crafted and delivered the EFK Setup For Bagisto Plan to provides the implementation of Elasticsearch, Fluentd, and Kibana into Bagisto application as a standardized logging and monitoring stack. This framework enhances the code's quality and allows users to access and analyze log data in real-time, and helps to identify bugs.

How many servers do I require for the EFK to be set up?
Two servers will be required for the EFK Setup. One on which your Bagisto server is running and another server on which elastic search and Kibana will be installed with the required configurations - • 4-6 GB RAM • 2-4 CPU cores • 30 – 50 GB disk storage space.

Is it possible to setup EFK on my existing/current server?
It is not recommended to setup EFK on your existing server. As your production server is resource intensive, it will exhaust server resources.

In order to set up the EFK, why do I require two servers?
One server on which your Bagisto server is running will act as a forwarder that will forward the logs via TD agent on the second server on which elastic search and Kibana are installed which will act as an aggregator which will receive the logs via TD agent from the forwarder and pushes the logs on Kibana.

Will this configuration of EFK impact the performance of Bagisto?
No, since the elastic search and Kibana are installed on a separate server, this would not affect the performance of the Bagisto.

Is it possible to create non-admin access to the server other than the admin access?
Yes, we can create separate access for both admin and non-admin panels and on Kibana, you can also restrict privileges to some features.

Do you need server root access for both the servers?
Yes, we need root server access or master access for both the servers so that we can install needed packages and software on the servers.

If errors arise after the configuration period, is there any kind of support offered to me?
After the Server configuration is completed, we provide a Support Period of 7 days to our customers. So that they can check and ensure the configuration. We mainly address Configuration Setup and Configuration issues (Issues Regarding third party Modules are not included in this support).

     How do we communicate?
Mode of Communication are Ticket, Email, and Chat. If you have any more questions, doubts, and queries, please feel welcome to contact us as we will be happy to help. Kindly create a support ticket here: http://webkul.uvdesk.com/
