Why do we need a WooCommerce Multi Vendor Marketplace Membership Add-on?
WooCommerce Multi Vendor Marketplace Membership add-on enables the creation of various membership plans for sellers to purchase. This offers sellers flexibility and options based on their specific needs and budget and allows the admin to control and set restrictions on seller product listings. The membership plans can be based on the number of product listings and the duration of time.
Also, if the store owner wants to assign the badges to the sellers on the basis of their work then they can use Marketplace Seller Badge for WooCommerce.
Add Membership for Sellers
The admin enables or disables the status of the membership for the sellers, set the membership name, set the membership code and type. The membership type can be based on time, products, or both. The admin can set the time period for membership, choose the allowed categories, set the no. of products, set the color of the membership, and set the image for it.
- The admin can enable or disable the status of membership.
- A name is set for membership by the admin.
- A code name is assigned for the membership.
- Membership type is set to time-based, product-based, or both time and product-based.
- A time period for which the membership will be active is set by the admin.
- Admin can set specific categories for the sellers.
- The number of products that are allowed under the membership is also set by the admin.
- Admin can choose a color for a membership.
- An image is set by the admin for the admin.
Define Membership Type
At the backend, the admin can set the configurations and as per the configurations set by the admin, the memberships shall be visible to the seller. Memberships are important for a seller as they can develop goodwill amongst the admin by luring more customer traffic and generating more revenue for the store.
If ‘both time and products’ are chosen against the membership type by the admin then both time duration and the number of products are provided by the admin.
- The admin can choose either only time, only products, or both time and products for membership type.
- When only time is chosen, the admin has to provide only time duration and sellers can add any number of products.
- When only products option is chosen, the admin has to provide the number of products and there is no need of time duration.
- When both options is chosen then the admin has to provide both time duration and number of products.
- Admin can set the payment methods that should be visible on the frontend.
Manage Membership
The membership configurations are managed by the admin and the configurations which are set are visible under the membership tab. The admin can view the membership id, membership name, membership code and type, time period for which the membership will be active, number of products that will be displayed under a particular membership.
- The admin can edit/delete/enable/disable any membership whenever required.
- A name is set for the membership by the admin.
- A code is configured for the membership created by the admin.
- Against the membership type, the admin can choose either only time, only products, or both.
- The admin sets the time period for which the membership will be active.
- The number of products will be set by the admin which will be displayed under the membership.
- The admin sets the fee amount for the membership.
- The status of the membership is set by the admin as enable or disable.
Membership Plan Purchase and Use by Seller
Sellers can purchase a membership and become a member of a store. Memberships play an important role for a seller as it helps in luring customer traffic and hence the revenue generation is more for the store. This also enhances the goodwill of the seller in front of the admin.
- Sellers can add the products only after purchasing the membership.
- Under membership plans, the seller can choose the membership and purchase it.
- A seller can choose any membership plan as per the requirement and after purchasing the plan view it under Activated plans.
- A seller can purchase a membership as per the plans specified by the admin.
- The number of products that the seller adds cannot exceed the product list of a membership.
- A seller can purchase only one membership at one time.
- Only one membership is active at a time.
- If any product is already present in the cart, then the seller cannot add a membership to the cart.
- If a membership is present in the cart, the seller cannot add any other product.
Membership Plan Assignment
The plugin facilitates the admin to check the seller’s Membership Plan, the Total Products of the seller, Published Products, Membership Type, and membership Expiry Days.
- Helps the admin to select and assign the membership plan to the sellers in bulk. Here the admin needs to select the seller to whom membership should be assigned.
- Moreover facilitates the admin to quickly search the seller from the list using the “Search Seller” filter option.
- Allows admin to select the respective plan and click on the Assign button to complete the membership assignment process.
