Magento 2 Cash On Delivery: Magento 2 Cash On Delivery Marketplace Add-on allows the sellers to manage the order and provide the commission to the admin from their end. Now the buyer can purchase the seller’s products using the Cash On Delivery payment gateway. With this module, the seller can manage all the Cash On Delivery processes from their end. Admin can also able to see the seller’s Cash On Delivery Report.
This module is an add-on to the Magento 2 Marketplace Module. To use this module you must have installed the Magento2 marketplace module first Magento 2 Marketplace Module

The seller and admin both can specify the rate applicable to the COD payment method.

Commission Payment

What is the use of the Magento 2 Cash On Delivery Marketplace Add-on and why should I use it?
If you want to avoid the shutting down of potential customers who do not have credit cards and debits to make their purchases. The Magento 2 Marketplace Cash On Delivery module is one such module that allows the seller to enable the COD payment method for customers who do not have credit or debit cards and who are not comfortable revealing their credit and debit card details.

Manage Cash On Delivery Rate Through Seller
Using Marketplace Cash On Delivery for Magento 2 module, the seller can manage all the Cash On Delivery processes and also provide the commission to the admin from their end. The seller can create new Cash On Delivery Rate and also edit/delete COD rates.
- Add/Edit/Delete Cash On Delivery Rate.
- Available Fixed or Percentage types of rates for calculating COD charges.
- Set name or (*) both for Destination State/Region, ZIP/Post Code From, ZIP/Post Code To.
- Set Weight From and Weight To for COD rate.

Seller’s Cash On Delivery Report
From this section, the admin can see the complete detail of the seller’s COD, and the admin can also notify the seller regarding their amount. On clicking on the “Notify” button, the seller will be notified of the admin amount and admin comment message via mail.
In the grid, the admin can see various details like order id, total order cost, the status of the commission paid, etc.
- The store owner can remain to save from any fraud by the seller.

Admin COD Order Management
The admin can also manage COD orders for their product. When the admin clicks on the "Order" link, the admin will be able to see the whole order detail. Admin can Ship, Invoice, Send Mail, and also cancel the order. Admin can add multiple tracking numbers for tracking the order.
- The web store owner can keep a record of all the transactions that were processed with the COD payment method to calculate the commission accumulated.

How is the admin commission managed for the COD Orders?
Once the seller receives the amount of COD post order completion, in the order section the seller can select the Pay Admin Commission to process the commission. Here the seller cannot generate a credit memo once the commission is paid.
Can the COD rates be uploaded in bulk in the store?
Yes, both seller and admin can upload the Cash on delivery fee in bulk on the store to save time.
On what basis the COD rates are calculated?
The COD rates calculation is based on- Destination Country, State/Region, ZIP, and product weight (product unit weight* product quantity). Here-
- If the rate is in percentage then COD rate = Rate Percentage* Product Unit Price* Product Quantity.
- Else if the rate is fixed then it will be added to the product total price.
Can customers check the COD availability on products?
Yes, the customer can check the COD availability on the products. For simple products, this can be checked on the product and cart page. However, for Grouped or Configurable products this facility is on the cart page.
Can the seller and admin manage the COD Status on the seller's product in bulk?
Yes, both seller and admin the manage the COD Status availability on the seller's product in bulk. This can be done by selecting the product and enabling/ disabling the COD functionalities.
