Magento Custom Registration Field

The Custom Registration Fields module is very flexible in terms of data types & input types and works really great. There are many types of the custom fields the admin can add –

• Text – Text field enables the user to type a small amount of text.
• Text Area – If an admin needs to obtain more than one line of input from the customer, then use a text area.
• Date - The admin can enable the user to enter the date.
• Dropdown – Using drop-down, you can select only one option. In case of a drop-down, the admin will set the value and title separated by a comma.
• Multiple Select – Using multiple select more than one option in the list can be selected.
• Boolean (Yes/No) - The admin can enable the user to enter the information using Yes/No values.
• Media Image and File Image – Admin can create media Image and file image type and also set the extension for both. For example, This field will help in case of admin want to see customer's profile picture during sign up.
• Dependable Field – Can also create dependable fields.

Dependable Attribute is a must have feature and almost every store owner needs this attribute. What this attribute does is phenomenal.

• The admin can create dependable fields for the customers means if the customer chooses an option and on the selection of the option another fields open up.
• The admin can fetch additional information only when a customer selects a particular option or value.
• Using this field type admin can display the child attributes as per the selected value or option of parent attribute. E.g. show the text field “Reason” only when ‘Service Quality’ region is selected as No.

The module has very flexible settings for managing the custom fields like the admin can -

• Create an unlimited number of fields for the customer registration page.
• Enable or disable the particular field whenever required.
• Define the name of the field as per the choice.
• Set the order of the customs field on the front end.
• Enable to make the custom field required or not.
• Set the input validation.
• This will limit the customers to enter information in the fields according to the valid input type such as letters, integers, decimal numbers etc.
• Enable the particular custom field will show on account info. and sales email.

Custom Registration Field appears on customer sign up form. There are many options for the customer to enter their additional information.

• The customer will have the extended sign up form under the separate section “Additional Information”.
• The customers can edit their additional information in their accounts.
• Even the admin can view and edit additional information of the customer.
• The admin can use the collected data for various purposes such as feedbacks, reviews, analysis etc.
• The additional collected data can be used for enhancing the user experience of the store.

The admin can configure Terms & Conditions and Privacy & Cookie Policy. This module is used to show the terms & condition and privacy policy to the customer. Using this module-

• The admin can enable/disable terms & conditions section on the registration page
• The customer can read the terms & condition and privacy policy at the sign-up page
• Even the admin can configure the model button accordingly and can also set the model button text, text color, button color etc.
• The admin can also show content as “HTML” or “Text.”
