Description
Bagisto Google Tag Manager is a Bagisto extension that connects the store with Google Tag Manager. Admins manage tracking tags from GTM.
The admin enters the Tag Manager IDs and the GA4 Measurement ID in the configuration. The GTM script then loads in the storefront head.
Shopper actions such as product views, cart updates, and purchases are pushed to the data layer. GTM triggers use these events to fire tags.
Each event has its own switch. Only the enabled events are published, so the store sends just the data it needs.
From the admin panel, the store team downloads bagisto-gtm.json. Importing it builds the full GTM workspace.
Additionally, if you want to send your product data to Google Merchant Center, then check Bagisto Google Shopping Feed.

Why Do We Need Bagisto Google Tag Manager?
Bagisto Google Tag Manager fills a gap in default Bagisto, which does not send ecommerce events to GTM.
Without it, store teams cannot see which products shoppers view, add, or buy.
Adding tracking by hand means editing theme files and writing data layer code. Each theme update can break that code.
Building each GA4 tag and trigger in GTM one at a time also takes hours and invites mistakes.
This extension adds the GTM script and data layer events from the admin panel. One JSON import then builds the GTM workspace.
In practice, the Conversion ID field takes only the number, without the AW- prefix. After changing any ID, export the container again.
