Opencart Marketplace Braintree Payment Gateway: Opencart Marketplace Braintree Payment Gateway allows the buyer to make payment with credit card or PayPal. In this payment method, an admin has the option to transfer the payment right away to the seller or hold the payment and release it after few days.

Please Note -

  • This module is an add-on of the Marketplace Module. To use this module you must have installed Webkul Opencart Marketplace Module.
  • This module supports all templates and themes including the Journal theme.
  • Opencart Marketplace Braintree Payment Gateway module supports the Multi-Store feature of default Opencart.

Opencart Marketplace Braintree Payment Gateway Features

  • Payment is made directly to admin and seller.
  • Admin can enable or disable payment method.
  • Admin has the option to test the payment method by enabling sandbox environment.

  • Admin has the option to activate payment method in selected geo zone only.

Admin Configuration

Admin will enable the module and configure the module by entering the required information. The information also includes the details for the Braintree. Admin will set enable for the hold in escrow setting to hold the amount for refund or release.

Admin will also enter the number of days for which the hold payment transaction will show to the admin. Lastly, the admin will set the private key by generating the Braintree account and set the Geo zone.

Seller Configuration

After the admin has enabled the payment method the seller will be able to see this method under his account menu named as "Braintree Connect". After clicking on the menu item, the seller will be able to enter his personal, business, and the funding details.

  • Seller will enter his personal details which include -Date of Birth, Street Address, Locality, region & the Postal Code.
  • Now the seller will enter the legal information which includes- Legal name, DBA name, and the Tax Id.
  • Lastly, the seller will enter the details for the funding information which includes -Destination (Which can be Mobile, Email or Bank).

How To Make Payment

Buyers will be able to see the payment method at the time of checkout. After the buyers will select the payment method and click continue, they will receive the option to enter card details and make payment if Transaction Modal is selected as custom.

If the admin has selected the Transaction Modal as the drop in the buyer will receive the option to pay with PayPal account or with the card.

  • Buyer can save the card details for the future transaction.
  • Buyer can also pay with the PayPal.
