Keeping product stock is very important as it helps provide accurate information to the customers. Also, if out-of-stock products are visible on the Odoo website, it only creates confusion and disappointment for customers. Hence, to avoid these issues, you must hide or disable the attribute from the Odoo website. By default, Odoo doesn’t provide the option to hide or disable attributes from the website.
Odoo Website Hide/Disable Attribute authorizes you to manage the attributes on the Odoo website. The module allows you to redirect a user to another variant on the product page in case the default combination is unavailable. You can also control the visibility of out-of-stock products by hiding or disabling them.
The Odoo app permits you to set stock configuration based on in-hand, forecasted, and outgoing quantity. The module configuration lets you decide whether to hide or disable the product variant.

- Enable the setting to redirect users to the available product variant on the product page.
- It allows you to control the visibility of out-of-stock variants.

Control Product Variants in Odoo
- Add and control the product variant stock from the Odoo backend.
- The product type should be ‘Storable’ to apply the hide/disable attribute settings.

- If all variants/attributes are unavailable, the product will be hidden/disabled from the website.

Hide or Disable Attribute on Website
- Create and add stock to a product to make them visible on the website.
- Disabling the attribute will disable the add to cart button if you select the option.
- Hiding attributes will mask them from the Odoo website.
- Out-of-stock products show stock is not available and won’t show any attribute on the product page.
- Create and update quantities to make them available on the website.
- Add variants from the backend and add their stock to make them available on the website.
- Updates the attribute quantities on the Odoo website after applying from the backend.
