CS-Cart Mercado Pago Payment Gateway is a CS-Cart payment module that connects your store with Mercado Pago. Admins can offer a hosted Checkout Pro page, an inline card form, or both.
This Mercado Pago CS-Cart integration creates a payment preference from each CS-Cart order. Every cart product goes to Mercado Pago with its quantity and unit price, so the payment page matches the cart.
Admins can work in Sandbox mode while testing and move to Live mode when the store is ready. Success, failure, and pending results map to CS-Cart order statuses that the admin picks.
Installments come in options of 1, 3, 6, 9, or 12. Admins decide which products and categories qualify, and can set an expiry date for the offer.
Card details stay protected. The module stores the last four digits and the card brand, and it uses idempotency keys so a retried request does not charge a customer twice.

Why Do We Need CS-Cart Mercado Pago Payment Gateway?
CS-Cart Mercado Pago Payment Gateway adds the Mercado Pago payment method that CS-Cart does not offer by default. A store needs a CS-Cart online payment gateway like this one before shoppers can pay with Mercado Pago.
Without a module, admins would collect payments by hand and match them to orders later. That costs time and leads to mistakes in order status, totals, and refunds.
This module sends the order to Mercado Pago and brings the result back. Each order moves to the status the admin mapped for success, failure, or pending.

Cart Items and Totals Sent to Mercado Pago
The module builds a Mercado Pago payment preference from each CS-Cart order. The payment page then matches the cart the customer sees at checkout, line by line.

Inline Card Payment at CS-Cart Checkout
Inline Card Payment shows the card form on the CS-Cart checkout page, so customers pay without leaving your store. The Inline processor is separate from the Web processor, so admins can enable either or both.

Mercado Pago Payment Method Setup
Admins add Mercado Pago as a payment method from Settings > Payment Methods in the CS-Cart admin panel. The General tab holds the basic details of the method.
- Select the Mercado Payment Gateways (Inline) processor.
- Enter the Name shown for the payment method.
- Add an Icon by uploading a Local or Server file, or by entering a URL.
- Choose the storefronts where the payment method is available from the Storefronts tab.
- Use the Configure tab to enter credentials and payment settings.
Payment Settings and Order Status Mapping
The Configure tab holds the credentials and payment settings for the payment method. Admins also pick the order status that CS-Cart sets after each payment result.
- Enter the Public Key and Access Token from Mercado Pago.
- Set the Order Status (success), for example Paid.
- Set the Order Status (failure), for example Failed.
- Enable or disable Installment to allow installments to customers on checkout.
- Switch between Sandbox mode for testing and Live mode for real transactions.
