Basic Option to Setup Unique Product SKU
To pre-define, the pattern of the SKU is an excellent approach to swiftly manage inventories.
- Enable automatic code generation for products.
- Enable the below settings on the product update page and on product options/variations inventory.
- Set the code format based on prefix, middle, and suffix from the dropdown provided.
- Click on “show existing” to view the similar SKU code of existing products.
Autogenerated Product Code
If a similar SKU code is provided to any product, a warning notification will be displayed and the product SKU for one of the products will be replaced by a new automatic generated product SKU.
- The admin can set prefix in SKU.
- The admin can set suffix in SKU.
