Description
CS-Cart Web Push Notification lets merchants send web push notifications to subscribed customers instantly. No app or email needed. Notifications reach subscribers directly in the browser.
Emails often get ignored, land in spam, or fail to deliver. Push notifications bypass that entirely. They appear in the browser even when the store is not open, making delivery more reliable.
Visitors can be prompted to subscribe on page load or through a bell icon placed on the storefront. Once subscribed, they receive all notifications sent from the admin panel.
Each notification supports a custom title, message, icon, and target URL. Templates can be saved and reused for future campaigns, saving time on repeated sends.
The module works across Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, including mobile browsers. No separate app is needed to reach customers on mobile devices. Sent notifications are stored in a full log inside the admin panel. Subscriber lists can be managed individually or cleared in bulk at any time.
Please Note- In order to allow Web Push Notifications for Safari browsers, you will require the Safari Certificates. If you do not own the certificate then you can purchase it from Webkul. The validity of that certificate will be 5 Years.
If you want to create your own certificate, then you need to have Apple's developer account with an individual membership plan worth 99 USD per membership year. For knowing how to create your own certificate, please refer the User Guide Manual.

Why Do We Need CS-Cart Web Push Notification?
CS-Cart Web Push Notification fills a real gap in customer communication. Emails miss the mark too often. They land in spam, go unread, or simply fail to deliver. Default CS-Cart does not come with browser push notification support.
There is no built-in way to reach subscribed users outside the store without relying on email or SMS. This module adds that channel directly. Notifications go out instantly, land in the browser, and do not require the customer to be on the store or have an app installed.
It works on both desktop and mobile browsers, making it practical for stores with a broad customer base across devices. Stores that run frequent promotions, flash sales, or need to push time sensitive updates benefit the most from having a direct browser notification channel in place.
For order and event based messaging on WhatsApp, pair this with the CS-Cart WhatsApp Order Notification module.
Use Cases

Configure Push Notifications
The module settings are split into General, Chrome, and Safari. All three sections need to be configured before notifications can go out. Each browser type has its own setup requirements.
- Set subscription prompt to page load or bell icon.
- Configure Chrome push via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Generate Chrome manifest.json file from the panel.
- Configure Safari push using Apple Certificate and Website Push ID.
Manage Notifications
All saved notifications are listed under Marketing in the admin panel. Each entry shows the title, icon, message, and date created. Stored notifications can be resent anytime without recreating them from scratch.
- View all saved notifications with title, icon, and message.
- Send any notification to all subscribers from the list.
- Create new notifications using the plus button.
- Edit or delete existing notifications anytime.
Create New Notifications
New notifications are built with a title, message, icon, and target URL. These four fields make up what subscribers see in the browser. The target URL directs subscribers to a specific page when they click the notification, making it useful for promotions or product pages.
- Add title and message for the notification.
- Upload icon via local file, server, or URL.
- Set a target URL for click redirection.
- Save as a template for reuse in future sends.
- No limit on the number of templates created.
Send Quick Notifications
The quick send modal is used for sending notifications instantly without creating a saved entry first. The admin fills in the notification details, selects target browsers, and sends immediately.
- Fill in title, message, icon URL, and target URL directly.
- Preview the notification before sending.
- View total subscriber count by Chrome, Mozilla, and Safari.
- Choose which browsers to include in the send.
- Load a saved template from the modal and send immediately.

- See delivery attempts broken down by Chrome, Mozilla, and Safari.
- Delete individual log entries when no longer needed.
- Access logs directly from the Web Push Notification section.
Manage Notification Subscribers
The subscriber list shows every user who has opted in to receive push notifications. Each entry includes browser type, country, IP address, language, and push status.
