 Module Configuration

The admin needs to navigate to Store->Configuration->Chat System Configuration. Enter the hostname and port number and click the Start Server button. The admin can customize the front-end chat window using various color options. Following are the customization options available:

  • Upload chat window profile picture.
  • Set a name for admin buyer chat system.
  • Position the chat window either left or right.
  • Customize chat window background using color or image.
  • Select colors for chat window header, text, list.

The admin can create chat agents for handling the queries of the customers. When a customer sends a message to the chat system. The chat system automatically selects the available chat agent and assign customer.

  • The admin can add new or existing users for chat agents.
  • A chat agent can answer multiple customer queries at once.
  • Chat agents can view the conversation history.

The users need to Log In to the store for using the chat system. The users can use the chat window for logging into their account. The unregistered users can use the chat window for quick user registration.

  • Sound alert notifications for any new message.
  • Change chat status Online, Busy or Offline.
  • Upload an image for the profile picture.
  • View & search chat conversation history.
Front-end

 Back-End Agent View

The chat agents need to Log In to the backend of the Magento for using the chat system. The chat agents can view the list of online customers who have been assigned to them.

  • Sound alert notifications for any new message.
  • Change chat status Online, Busy or Offline.
  • E-mail address of the online customers is visible.
  • View & search chat conversation history.
