Marketplace Web Push Notification For Magento: Web Push Notification is a Marketplace add-on for Magento which allows the admin and the sellers to send push notifications to the subscribed users. These messages are immediately delivered to the web browser of the user. Any short message containing the title, logo and redirect URL link can be used for the push notifications.
As long as the web browser is running, a subscribed user will get a pop-up message on top of the browser window even without opening up your website. The push notification messages are basically used for sharing short messages to the users.
Any information related to the new products, upcoming offers & discounts or any important news & updates can be shared immediately using this module. With the help of redirect URL, the users can also click the message and visit the redirect web page.
Please Note - This module is an add-on of Magento Marketplace Module. To use this module you must have installed Webkul Magento Marketplace Module first.
Marketplace Web Push Notification For Magento Features -
- Web Push Notification module is very easy to configure and set up.
- Push Notifications can be viewed on almost every desktop web browsers (Firefox, Chrome).
- It is designed to work with the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate websites.
- There is no monthly subscription fee required to send the notifications.
- There is no limitation on the number of subscribed users, any number of users can be added.
- The admin can create, edit and delete notification templates from the back-end.
- The sellers can create, edit and delete notification templates from the front-end.
- Any particular subscribed user can be removed from the list if it doesn’t want to receive any further notifications.
- A custom icon and redirect URL link can be added with the web push notification.
- Notifications can be sent either to either all or selected subscribed users.
- Search options can be used to find any specific template or subscribed users from the lists.
- The admin can manage all the subscribed users of the store from the backend.
- Web Push Notification supports multiple languages translation.
Admin Backend View
The admin can do the configuration of Web Push Notification module from the back-end panel. After setting up the Firebase credentials, the admin can manage templates and send a push notification to the subscribed users.
- The admin can add, edit or delete templates of the push notification.
- Search option can be used to find any specific template from the list.
- Various template information is displayed such as - Id, title, tags, created date & time etc.
- An image file for the logo and redirect URL can be attached to a template.
Manage Subscribed Users
All the subscribed users of the website will be managed and handled by the admin. From the backend, the admin can view and delete users from the subscriber list. The search button for finding a subscribed user from the list can be used.
- Multiple checkbox options can be used for selecting the subscribed users.
- Information about the subscribed users such as - subscribed from (browser), subscriber name, date & time subscribed.
- Every subscribed user has a unique Id assigned to it.
Seller Web Push Notification
The workflow for the seller is same as that of the admin, after logging in to the seller account, there will be two new menu options in My Account section i.e. – Registered Users and Notification Templates. The sellers can manage their own templates. The seller can view and send a push notification to every subscribed user of the website.
- The sellers can add, edit or delete templates of the notification.
- Search option can be used to find any specific template or subscribed user from the lists.
- Template information is displayed such as - title, message, URL, tags, created date & time.
- Subscriber information can also be seen such as subscribed from (browser), subscriber name, date & time subscribed.
- An image file for the logo and redirect URL can be attached to a template.
Frontend User View
After installing this module, when a user visits your website it will be asked whether to allow notifications from you or not. Once the users have approved, they will start seeing your push notifications on top of their web browser.
- Notifications will stay visible for 2-3 seconds, after that they will fade away.
- The users can click the push notification and go to the redirect page.
- Users will see the message title, logo, and content of the notification.
