Odoo Stock Force Assign is an Odoo app that helps a warehouse team validate deliveries when stock is short. Without it, Odoo will not validate a delivery if the quantity in hand is below the order.
Two buttons are added to the delivery order form. Force Availability validates the delivery even if the stock on hand does not match the order.
Partial Force Assign validates a partial delivery for an order. It is the choice when product stock falls short of what the complete delivery needs.
Once a partial delivery is done, the user picks what happens to the leftover quantities. A backorder or a cancel are the two choices.
Both buttons sit beside Check Availability, Validate, Scrap, and Cancel. The Operations tab keeps showing the Demand, Reserved, and Done columns.
Additionally, if you want to cancel delivery orders that were already processed, then check Odoo Stock Picking Cancel.

Why Do We Need Odoo Stock Force Assign?
In standard Odoo, a delivery does not validate successfully when the product stock is below the quantity the order needs.
The module adds force availability and partial force assign while validating a delivery. Users can validate the delivery even when the products are not in stock.
Users can also validate a partial delivery for an order. For what is left of the product quantities, they can create a backorder or cancel them.
On the delivery order, the new buttons appear in the same row as Check Availability and Validate.

Odoo Stock Force Assign Use Cases

Validate With Low Stock
Validate a delivery when the quantity in hand is not equal to the quantity the order needs, by using the Force Availability button.

Validate a partial delivery for an order when product stock falls short of the order quantity, by using the Partial Force Assign button.

Make a backorder once a partial delivery is done. It covers the rest of the products.

- Find Force Availability beside the Check Availability button.

Partial Force Assign for Partial Delivery
Partial Force Assign puts a partial delivery button on the delivery order. Users get a better choice when stock cannot cover the complete delivery.
This button lets the user validate a partial delivery for an order. The full delivery is no longer the only choice.
