In Akeneo Visual Swatch attribute module, users can create a visual swatch-type attribute that can further use in products and product models in Akeneo. With the help of this akeneo visual swatch attribute, users can select images and colors which can be applied to the swatch options.
Akeneo visual swatch attribute module allows the user to create multiple variants of a particular visual swatch option. With this module, users get a feature to export/import the swatch attribute options in CSV and XLSX.

Why do you need the Akeneo Visual Swatch Attribute?
The Akeneo Visual Swatch Attribute module lets you create a visual swatch attribute type that can add to products and product models in Akeneo. With this module, the user can export/import the attribute options in CSV and XLSX. This module gives the flexibility to the admin to create a family variant axis for the visual swatch attribute.
Upload File
The user can select an image to add to the swatch rather than color with this module
- The user can choose the image from the Drop Down button and select the upload a file option.
- The module is only compatible with PNG or JPEG images.
- Users have to choose a picture that is in PNG or JPEG format.
Choose Color
The module lets the user select the color to add to the visual swatch attribute option.
- The color picker will pop up once the user selects the option to choose a color from the Drop Down menu.
- Users can choose the color according to their choice in the swatch by placing the cursor in the color picker.
Export /Import Job Profiles
Users can find two different export/import job profiles (attribute option export/import in CSV and attribute option export/import in XLSX) for every use case.
- To export/import the visual swatch attribute, first, you create an export/import job profile and then click on the export/import now button.
- Download generated files allows you to download the CSV or XLSX files.
- In the downloaded file, we have information on a particular code, label, attribute, images, and the path of that visual swatch.
Create Multiple variants
The admin can create multiple variants of a particular visual swatch option.
- If the admin has enabled the option “value per channel” and “ value per locale” from the backend, It will not create the variant.
- Assign that particular attribute to the group.
- Add the options into the attribute.
