Description

OpenCart Product Exchange: Having the products exchanged has always been a tough job. But using this extension, the customers can easily set up an exchange request, and the admin can efficiently work on the product exchange after that.

Now, the opencart webstore customers/guest users will be able to generate the product exchange for the products that they already have purchased from the store. Also, the admin will be able to add product exchange on behalf of the customers. A separate order id manages the return exchange.

 Create Exchange Request

Customers can request a product exchange. Both the registered user or a guest user can ask for the product exchange.

 Select Exchange Reasons

The admin will select the reasons for product exchange that will be available to the customers for selection.

 Exchange on Order Status

The admin can set the order status on which the exchange button gets visible to the customers.

 Place Exchange Request for Customers

The admin can place the exchange request on behalf of the customers from the admin backend.

 Upload Multiple Images

The customer can attach multiple replace product images for the reference through their panel.

 Set Image Format and Number

The admin can set the maximum number for upload image and extension which allowed to be uploaded.

Product Exchange Options for Admin

After the successful installation of the extension, the admin will configure the module for use. Here, the admin will be able to -

  • Set the status as Enabled to enable the extension.
  • Set the number of days after order place within which the product can be exchanged.
  • Set the Order status on which the exchange button will be visible to the customer.
  • Select the exchange reasons to make available to the customers.
  • Set the exchange reason sequence.
  • Set the terms and conditions.
  • Select the exchange payment method and shipping method for the product exchange.

Exchange Request by Customer

The customers can easily go for a product exchange request. An exchange button is visible to the customers for the orders that they have placed. But the button gets activated only after the order status equals to the selected order status in the module configuration.

Also, the exchange button is gone if the set days for exchange have passed or if the customer has already generated an exchange request for the order.

  • The customer will have the exchange button visible after the order equals the selected order status in the configuration settings.
  • The customer will select the reason for exchange, select if a product is opened, and enter the details.
  • This creates an exchange request for the ordered product.

Exchange Process

To complete the exchange process, the admin will navigate to the Orders section. Here, the admin will complete the order that got created here after the exchange request got generated by the customer.

  • The customer will place the exchange request first.
  • This generates another order.
  • The second order generated is completed by the admin
  • After that, the customer can check the completed exchange order

Guest Product Exchange

The guest customers can also go for the product exchange. The guest user will find a link in the website footer for placing the exchange request.

  • Tap the guest product exchange link.
  • Enter the order id
  • Enter the guest email address
  • Tap the get order details button
  • Order details are fetched and the guest can see an exchange button.
  • Tap the button to generate an exchange request.
