Opencart Slack Commerce: The Opencart Slack Commerce will allow the admin to take advantage of Slack Application. This integration will record the actions held in the store. The store owner will easily get notification about the actions like New user registration, ​ login user​ , Order create, Order return, Payment fraud & fail, Search product not found & if Customer applies coupon.

It helps the store owner to easily track the activities done by the customer without visiting the store. In the module, the admin has the power to configure the messages for various actions. Thus, if one wishes to improvise the store and acquire a maximum customer to enhance sales. This integration is the best solution for you.

  • This module supports all templates and themes including the Journal theme.
  • Opencart Slack Commerce module supports the Multi-Store feature of default Opencart.

What is slack commerce?

The slack app allows the formation of a collaborative hub where the customer and store owner could communicate. It helps to record the orders, which will help the management of sales in the store.

Setting up Slack Application

The slack account could be set easily by adding the Username, channel, and token. The generation of these details will take place from the slack application itself. Therein,

  • Username: ​ It is the login name used by the account holder.
  • Token: This token is a number for the slack API to provide the connection between the website and slack application. These tokens depend on the workplace. Here, the slack app user must be aware that they are logged in the application.
  • Channel: This channel is a single place where all the on store activity could be seen by the store owner. This will allow the store owner to take action as per requirement.

Message

The actions could be associated with various messages. These messages could be viewed on the slack application if the action takes place. For now, only these actions are recorded in the slack application

  • New User Registration:​The admin could set the message format to get notified about the new customer in the store.
  • Login User:​The customer could set the message for the customer login action.
  • Order Creation: Whenever the customer places the order it gets notified to the admin who has set the message for the action.
  • Order Return:​The product return information could be received by the admin on slack in the form of a message as set by the admin configuration.
  • Payment Fraud and Fail:​The admin could now select a message for the case to be recorded in slack to extract the payments which were a fraud and got failed.
  • Search Product Not Found:​The customer search could be tracked by admin with this. Here the message will be shared set by the admin.
  • Customer Assigned Coupon:​This section will allow the admin to select the message when the ​ coupon​ is assigned to a customer.

Message Template

The format of the above mail can be set by the admin which will be displayed on the slack application. The messages are configured here will be as per the code. These message​ templates ​ will clearly the activity being conducted in the store.

  • Add Message: ​ The admin can define the name of the message along with the body of the message. It helps the store owner to identify the activity much effectively. This message could be in multiple languages to support multilingual functionality.
  • Info: This will have the predefined keywords which will be used in the message.

Good Product Knowledge
Purchased the Slack module for OpenCart and it turned out that Slack made changes to their API and Webkul team updated the module in a couple of days and is now working. Great work from the Webkul team, very responsive and efficient.
