Odoo POS Coupons And Vouchers is an Odoo module that adds digital discount coupons and vouchers to Point of Sale. Store staff create them in the backend or inside a live POS session.
Each voucher carries a name, a unique code, a value, and a validity window. The cashier enters the code at the counter, and Odoo checks the rules before it applies the discount.
A voucher can be a fixed amount or a percentage of the order. Total Available caps how many vouchers are issued. A Minimum Cart Amount blocks the code on smaller bills.
Coupons can be limited to Point of Sale, or marked Both POS & Ecommerce so the same code works online. The Odoo Website Coupons & Vouchers module must be installed for the website side to work.
Every issue and every redemption lands in Voucher History. The record holds the channel, the date, the voucher value, and the sale order.

Why Do We Need Odoo POS Coupons And Vouchers?
Odoo POS Coupons And Vouchers replaces that with a stored record. Each coupon has a code, a value, a cap, and a date range. The POS screen refuses a code that fails any of them.
Odoo Point of Sale ships with a manual discount key. A cashier can cut a price, but nothing ties that cut to a campaign, a customer, or an expiry date.
That gap costs the counter team real time. Staff track paper coupons in a notebook and guess whether a code was already used. No record survives when a manager asks what a promotion cost.
Odoo checks the Minimum Cart Amount before the Redeem button appears. A 100 voucher set against a 10.00 minimum will not validate on a smaller bill. The cashier sees the reason on screen.

A personal voucher tells a regular buyer that the shop noticed them. The Vouchers form lets an Odoo user build one voucher for one customer and send the code straight to that person.
- Name the voucher and let Odoo generate its unique Code.
- Set Coupon for to the chosen customer record.
- Enter the Voucher Value as Fixed or Percentage.
- Set Applicable From and Expiry Date to bound the offer.
- Allow partial redemption so the balance carries to the next visit.
- Email the voucher code to the customer address on file.

- Leave Coupon for set to All Customers for an open offer.

Voucher Settings In The Odoo Backend
The Vouchers form under Point of Sale holds every rule for a coupon. An Odoo user opens Vouchers & Coupons > Vouchers and fills the header, then the three tabs below it.
- Set Coupon Used In to Point of Sale or Both POS & Ecommerce.
- Enter Voucher Value and pick Fixed or Percentage beside it.
- Set Total Available to limit the number of redemptions.
- Tick Use Cart Amount Validation and enter the Minimum Cart Amount.
- Use the Products tab to set Voucher Applied on to All Products or a chosen set.
- Use the Extra Info tab to add a Description and show it on the website.
Create And Print Coupons From A POS Session
The Manage Coupon button sits under the order panel in Odoo POS. Tapping it opens the Create New Coupon popup, so a cashier can issue a code without opening the backend.
- Enter the Coupon Name and the Validity in days.
- Set Coupon used In to Point of Sale for a counter-only code.
- Set Customer Type to All Customers or to a single buyer.
- Enter the Coupon Value and choose Fixed or Percentage.
- Set Total Available, add an internal note, and press Create.
- Press Print on the confirmation to hand the slip to the shopper.
Redeem A Coupon At The POS Counter
Redemption happens from the same Manage Coupon button. The cashier enters the code, and the Redeem Gift Coupon popup reports whether the voucher validated and how much discount it carries.
- Open Manage Coupon from the active order screen.
- Enter or scan the unique coupon code.
- Read the validation message and the discount amount on the popup.
- Press Redeem to apply the discount, or Cancel to drop it.
- Leave the balance on the voucher when partial redemption is allowed.
Voucher History And Redemption Records
Voucher History logs every movement against a voucher. Each line records the Voucher Name, Channel, User, Date, Voucher Value, Transaction Type, and linked Sale order.
- See whether a redemption came through POS, the website, or Both.
- Read the Transaction Type to tell a credit from a redemption.
- Trace a redemption back to the sale order it was applied to.
- Filter and group records to compare campaign performance.
- Check the Vouchers list for value, created for, and expiry date at a glance.
