POB Extension : Export Supplier

Description

POB Extension Export Supplier is a PrestaShop module that exports product suppliers and their information to Odoo. It works as an add-on to the PrestaShop Odoo Bridge, the Odoo PrestaShop Connector that already links the store with Odoo.

After installation, the admin finds two new options named Export Supplier and Link Supplier under the Odoo Mapping menu. A click on Synchronize exports suppliers, and a click on link attaches them to Odoo products.

Each exported supplier gets a matching vendor record in Odoo, shown with its Erp Supplier Id on the Export Supplier page. Each linked product then lists its supplier as a vendor inside the Odoo Purchase tab.

Both mapping pages show a Need Synchronization column, so the admin can see which records are already synced. A Delete button on every row removes a mapping record that is no longer needed by the store.

Admins install it from one zip file named prestaerpexportsupplier with the usual PrestaShop module upload. On the store side, it supports PrestaShop 1.5, 1.6, and 1.7 versions.

Why Do We Need POB Extension Export Supplier?

POB Extension Export Supplier carries supplier data that the base PrestaShop Odoo Bridge does not send to Odoo. Without it, product suppliers stay in PrestaShop while purchase orders are raised in Odoo.

Purchase teams then search a long vendor list in Odoo and pick the right supplier for each product by hand. This takes time when one product has several suppliers and the catalog keeps growing.

With this module, each product supplier is exported to Odoo and linked to the matching product template. Supplier information then sits on the product, so the right vendor can be assigned to a purchase order directly.

In practice, the admin opens Odoo Mapping, clicks Synchronize on Export Supplier, then clicks link on Link Supplier. A success message then confirms that all product suppliers were linked to Odoo products.

Export Product Suppliers from PrestaShop to Odoo

Export Supplier is the PrestaShop page that sends product suppliers to Odoo when the admin clicks the Synchronize button. Admins open it from Odoo Mapping and then Export supplier in the PrestaShop back office.

Click Synchronize to export product suppliers and their information to Odoo.
See the PrestaShop supplier ID in the presta_Id column of each row.
Check the matching Odoo vendor in the Erp Supplier Id column.
Review the Created on date and time for every exported supplier.
Use the Need Synchronization column to confirm the sync state of each supplier.
Remove a supplier mapping record with the Delete button on its row.

Link Suppliers with Products in Odoo

Link Supplier is the PrestaShop page that links exported suppliers to their own products in Odoo with one button. Admins open it from Odoo Mapping after the supplier export is done.

Click link to attach all product suppliers to their Odoo products at once.
Get the message that all product suppliers were successfully linked to Odoo products.
See the PrestaShop product in the ps product id column of each mapping.
Match each record to Odoo through the Erp Template Id and Erp Supplier Id columns.
Track the id_product_supplier value and the Need Synchronization status per row.

View Product Vendors in the Odoo Purchase Tab

Linked suppliers appear as vendors in the Purchase tab of the Odoo product template. Purchase teams can see every supplier for a product before they create a purchase order in Odoo.

Open the product template in Odoo and select the Purchase tab.
Find the supplier exported from PrestaShop listed in the Vendor column.
See the Quantity and Price values on the vendor line of the product.
Assign the listed vendor to a purchase order without filtering all suppliers.

Export Supplier Options Under Odoo Mapping

Installing the module adds Export supplier and Link Supplier options under the Odoo Mapping menu of the PrestaShop Odoo Bridge. Both options sit with the other bridge mapping pages in the back office.

Upload the prestaerpexportsupplier zip from Modules using the Add New Module button.
Install the module after the PrestaShop Odoo Bridge base module is in place.
Open Export supplier under Odoo Mapping to send suppliers to Odoo.
Open Link Supplier under Odoo Mapping to link suppliers with products.
Use the Help button on each page for guidance on the mapping screen.
