    Why do we need the Magento 2 GDPR Extension?

    GDPR provides the customer with the authority to control their personal data and information. The customer can send a request to update or delete the data request. The customer can check the list of data requests done from their end.

    Apart from that, the customers can anonymize their personal data and can also opt out of the consent they have agreed to under their account panel as required. The Magento 2 GDPR Compliance system provides the option to the admin to change the request status to Pending, Processing, Complete, and Decline.

    As soon as the customer lands on your website, the customer has to accept or decline the cookie consent. If accepted then the customer can choose which cookies to accept and the ones to disable.

    • The Magento 2 cookie notice block is shown on all the storefront pages.
    • After the cookie notice is accepted, it will not be shown and will save the data in the system.
    • Once the Magento 2 GDPR module is installed, a default cookie static block will be created automatically.
