Manage refund from Braintree!
Odoo Direct Refund from Braintree, admin can manually post the refund or enable auto-post. Invoices will display a "reversed" tag, and admins confirm the reverse invoice to finalize the refund process.
To refund a transaction via Braintree, ensure it is confirmed and settled. Click the Braintree refund button in the invoice, and choose full or partial refund.

Odoo Direct Refund from Braintree makes refunding payments simple for admins. They can refund full or partial amounts and view detailed transaction information.
When customers are unhappy with a purchase, offering a refund shows that you value their satisfaction. It helps maintain a positive relationship with them and encourages repeat business.

Initiate Refund
Admin can refund the transaction via Odoo Direct Refund from Braintree.
- Payments with the confirmed status can only be refunded.
- The refund option will be visible if the amount from the Braintree is received and settled.
- The Braintree refund button given in the invoices.

Refund your transaction
Admin needs to navigate to invoices settled from Braintree. Admin can view the invoice from the sale invoice and customer payments from the invoicing module.
- Click on the button Braintree refund.
- Refund transaction partially or fully.
- In partial refund, you can enter the partial amount.
- The refund amount will be in the posted state if its settled; otherwise, it will be in the draft state.
Post and reconcile
With this, the refund state will automatically be changed from draft to posted.
- Admin can manually change the state of the refund from draft to posted.
- If the Auto post and reconcile checkbox is enabled, the state will change automatically once the refunded amount is received.
- The reversed tag prints on the invoice at the Odoo backend.
- A reverse order generated.
- The refund will be posted once the admin manually clicks on the confirm reverse invoice.
- Admin can manually register the refund payment.
