How the module works
PrestaShop Barcode Stock Management module offers two ways to update the product stock.
- Automatic update: On scanning the product barcode, the stock quantity is automatically increased or decreased by 1 based on the selected configuration.
- Manual Update: When you scan the product barcode, a field appears where you can manually enter the quantity to increase or decrease the stock.

Can I use a regular barcode scanner with this module?
Yes, any standard USB barcode scanner that emulates keyboard input will work. The scanner types the barcode value and presses Enter, which our system captures for processing. No special scanner configuration is required.
Does this work with product combinations or variants?
Yes, the module correctly handles products with multiple combinations. When you scan a barcode for a product with variants, the system prompts you to select the specific combination before updating stock quantities.
How does the auto-update feature work?
When auto-update mode is used, each successful barcode scan automatically increases or decreases the product stock quantity by 1, depending on the selected configuration.
Can I search by product reference or supplier SKU?
Yes, product reference is included as a searchable field. You can enable it in the configuration along with other search criteria like product name, product ID, and various barcode types.
