Tap Payment Gateway module integrates your PrestaShop store with Tap's modern payment infrastructure, enabling you to accept online payments quickly and securely. It handles the complete payment lifecycle from charge creation and redirection to Tap's hosted page (or embedded self-hosted flow) through to order confirmation, refunds, and real-time status updates.
Designed for merchants in the Middle East, GCC, and global markets, this module supports a wide range of currencies and leverages Tap's robust API with built-in 3D Secure, webhook-driven order creation, and detailed transaction logging. Store owners can manage all payments from a dedicated admin panel, process refunds (full or partial), and view complete payment histories with customer and order context.

The module lets customers pay through a secure Tap payment page or a self-hosted checkout that matches your store branding, while automatically processing customer and order details for smooth payment management.
- Customers can pay using either a self-hosted checkout or Tap’s secure hosted payment page.
- Card details are processed securely with 3D Secure authentication when required.
- Upon payment, customers are automatically redirected back to your store with a result (success, failure, or pending).

Frequently Asked Questions
Which currencies does Tap support, and how are decimal places handled?
The module supports SAR, AED, QAR, USD, EUR, GBP (2 decimals); KWD, BHD, OMR (3 decimals). Amounts are automatically rounded per Tap's specifications before sending to the API.
How do I issue a refund?
Go to the Transactions tab and click View for the required transaction. From the Refund section, enter the refund amount (full or partial), add an optional reason, and click Refund. The status updates automatically after processing.
Is 3D Secure enabled by default?
Yes. All charges are created with 3D Secure, ensuring SCA compliance and chargeback protection.
What happens if a payment fails or the customer cancels?
If a payment is failed, cancelled, declined, or expired, no order is created. The customer is redirected back to the checkout page with an error message and can retry the payment or choose another payment method.
Can I use this module in a multi-store PrestaShop installation?
Yes. The module is fully multi-store compatible. Transactions are associated with the originating shop, and the admin grid can display all shops with a dedicated Shop column when viewing in the 'All Shops' context.
