Why do we need Magento 2 Order Attachment?
Magento 2 Order Attachment extension is used to upload attachments such as pdf, jpg, jpeg etc. while placing their orders. Order attachments are best used in real-time such as while uploading attachments for medicines, orders for guns or heavy machinery that require a license, or other types of drug products, etc.

Order Attachment General Setup
The admin can configure the attachment file number, size, and extension types-
- The admin can enable the order attachment module for customers.
- The admin can set max attachment file size in MB (File size greater than 0 and less than 10 MB).
- The admin can set the maximum number of attachment files. (Maximum attachments can be uploaded 10 and minimum one)
- The admin can select file extensions/formats (PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, DOC, DOCX) only those format of files the customer can add/attach along with orders.
File Attachment Required
The admin can enable or disable the attachment required for a product on the product page -
- On the product page, the admin can enable attachment is required.
- The admin can edit the product and update it as per requirement.
- The customer can upload attachments only for required products.
- The admin can view the attached files with orders.
- The admin can upload attachments along with the order or later, after placing the order for needed products.
The admin can upload the prescription along with the order or later after placing the order for needed products.
Upload Attachment - During Checkout Process/Upload Later
The customer can add the order attachments along with order or after placing the order.
- If the customers want to add the attachment file at the time of checkout, then need to select "Yes, I will add now."
- If the customers want to add an attachment after placing the order, then need to select "No, I will add later.”
- The admin can delete the uploaded attachment file on the checkout page.
- The customer can configure by the admin such as File format, max file size and the number of the prescription files.
Prescription Status's
After adding the prescription, the admin will have four options to update the prescription status -
- Approve - the admin accepts the medical prescription.
- Disapprove - the admin does not accept the medical prescription. (The customer can upload a new medical prescription if the admin disapproves the old medical prescriptions)
- Pending – Pending option is useful when the admin did approve or disapprove a prescription file by mistake.
- Delete – If the admin wants to delete the medical prescription.
