Description

With the Adobe Commerce customer sub-account extension, the customer can create multiple sub-account users for managing the work by allowing them some permissions. The main account user can either provide all the permissions or some selected ones too. The main account user can only provide those permissions that are provided by the store admin.

There are many permissions like placing orders, managing orders, accessing wishlists, creating sub-accounts, etc. The sub-account users will help in a big graph to manage the main-account user’s responsibilities like placing orders, managing the cart approval and merge requests, etc. The store owner will set various email templates for order-related notifications.

Manage Services of Multi-User Account Extension

Create New Sub Account Users

The main and sub-account users get the liberty to add the new sub-accounts.

  • Basic details are to be added by the parent account.
  • Firstly, they need to add the First and Last names.
  • Active email id for sub-account users is required to share the emails.
  • The role with the assigned permissions needs to be selected for the sub-account.
  • Further, add the sections that are forbidden for the sub-account.
  • The parent user can set the status of the sub-account user as Active/ Deactivate.

Cart Approval/Merge Request

The Main Account user will also have to deal with the request of sub-account users.

  • There are many requests listed in the customer dashboard.
  • There is a separate tab for the cart approval request.
  • A separate tab is for the merge requests too.
  • The main account user can approve the orders from their end.
  • For checking the details, the main account user can also view the item details.
  • Option to delete the request is also available there at the main account end.
  • The merge cart request actually merges the sub-account user’s cart with the main account user’s cart

Access the Main account Orders

The sub-account user can have access to view the main account orders.

  • The sub-account user can view the main account order list.
  • They can also view the order details.
  • The order ID will also be visible for each order.
  • The sub-account user can also check the status of the order.
  • Order status can be either Pending or Approve.

Access the Sub-Account Orders

The sub-account user can have access to view the sub-account orders.

  • The sub-account user can view the main account order list (list of orders placed by all the sub-account users).
  • Simply the sub-account user can check the order details.
  • The order ID will also be visible for each order.
  • The sub-account user can also check the price, status of the order.
  • Order status can be either Pending or Approve.

Access Main Account’s Wishlist

The sub-account can have permission to access the wishlist of the main account user.

  • The wishlist will be visible under the Main Wishlist tab.
  • The sub-account user can add the product to the wishlist.
  • The deletion of the product is also permitted.
  • The sub-account users will be able to manage to check the wishlist and add those products to the cart.

Cart Appearance Before Checkout

The sub-account user can also place the order for the main account user.

  • They will add the product to the cart with the desired quantity.
  • If configurable products are selected then the size and color should be mentioned too.
  • At the cart page, there are buttons available for cart approval and merge.
  • The sub-account user is required to send any of the requests among cart approval or merge.
  • The checkout will be done only after the request approval.

Customer Sub Account User Roles by Admin

The admin will be able to create multiple roles as required and can set the permissions for each as per requirement. After a role has been created, it will be accessible by the customer's main account. Here, to create a role the admin will -

  • Enter the role name Set the permissions for the role as required.
  • View the created roles.
  • Edit and delete the roles as required.
  • Change the permissions of a role while editing.
