PrestaShop Group Buy - The module helps shop owners to offer various customers to come together & buy products in a group.
This module helps you to create multiple group purchasing plans & add multiple products to each plan. Customers can create a product buying group after selecting the plan & invite others to join the group & facilitate the buying process.
After other customers join the group & add the product to a group, every one of them can proceed to place the order & pay for their own product.
Every customer of the group is able to checkout only if the maximum quantity required for the checkout is reached. On reaching the maximum required quantity, the buying group becomes active & now each member of the group can pay for their own product without being dependent on one another.
This module is very helpful for those who are willing to witness an increase in sales by offering some discounts. As higher discounts being offered to customers who buy in a group will increase the sales cause quantity will be more if customers buy the product after creating the group.

A quick overview of the functioning of the PrestaShop Group Buy module
As this module functioning is vast, so here are the steps that will help an admin & the customer both to understand it clearly.
- Firstly, an admin creates group purchasing plans from the back-end.
- A plan can contain multiple products, as well as a product, can also be available under multiple plans.
- Now, a customer will get the option to create a new product purchasing group after selecting a suitable plan on the front-end.
- The plan details are also available on the product page. It updates according to the selected plan to provide clear information.
- After creating the group, a customer can invite other customers via invite link or by socially sharing the details of the group.
- Although, public groups are available to join for every customer of the shop.
- Any other customer can simply join the group & add any of the products available in the plan to the group.
- After the minimum quantity requirement as per the plan is fulfilled, every member of the group gets an option to checkout.
- Please note that every customer will pay for only his/her added product to the group.
- Also, there is a time limit up to which the customers get to order their product. After the time limit, the group gets cancelled.
- When all the customers of the group complete their purchase, the status of the group changes to complete.

Group Buying Plans

- Set the maximum checkout time every customer of the group gets to place the order after the maximum quantity required to checkout is fulfilled by the group members.
- Also, set the expiry date & time of the plan after which the group buying plan will no longer be active.
- Add as many products as you want in a group buying plan.
Customer Buying Groups
In order to enjoy discounts on products, a customer can create his/her own product buying group of few customers. Other customers can join the group & add the products to the group.
- Each customer of the group will pay for their own added product only.
- A checkout button will become available only if the maximum quantity required to checkout is added by all the customers of the group.
- A customer can choose to create either a public or private product buying group.
- In the case of private groups, a customer can provide an invite link as well as a QR code to other customers for joining the group.
- Each customer will be able to get an exact discount that is being offered through the group purchasing plan.

- A group is cancelled when the checkout time limit expires or the group-buying plan expires.
- The calculation of the checkout time limit starts just after the group becomes active.
- Notify customer & admin both when group purchase status changes to complete.
