Magento 2 Downloadable Product Akeneo extension allows users to import/export the downloadable products between Akeneo and Magento 2. The admin has to set up credentials in Akeneo and do the attribute mapping for downloadable products.
Create the respective jobs for import and export. After running the jobs, products get imported and exported between the two platforms. The admin can easily enrich the downloadable product at the Akeneo backend.
The admin can add downloadable files to downloadable products using a URL or by uploading the required file. Three additional jobs for product export: Product-only export, Quick export, and All export to Magento 2.

Setup Credentials in Akeneo
Akeneo user can add the credentials of Adobe Commerce store to connect Akeneo and Magento 2 store. Here, enter the Akeneo user will add Magento 2 store's –
- Host Name – URL of your Magento 2 eStore
- User Name – The user name of the admin backend panel
- Password – The password of the admin backend panel
Mapping Magento 2 Attributes With Akeneo
After Akeneo user has added credentials, edit them then go to the attribute mapping section. Here, the user will -
- Map Adobe Commerce store's field with the Common Product field in Akeneo.
- Link's title mapping is to be made for the downloadable products.
- Sample title is to be mapped accordingly.
Create Downloadable Products in Akeneo
The option to create downloadable products in Akeneo is available. Create the digital products as required. Add downloadable files using URLs or file upload. Here, the user will -
- Create the product by choosing the Downloadable Product option.
- Add all parameters required for setup.
- Add downloadable files using - URLs or Uploading the Files.
Export Downloadable Product to Magento 2
Akeneo user will create an export profile and choose the job type as Downloadable Product Export to Magento 2. Run it to export the products from Akeneo to Adobe Commerce store.
- Create the export profile and choose the created credentials for the same.
- Choose properties and select export as required for - only changed or new data, product SKU changed at Akeneo, categories associated with the channel in products.
- For filters choose according to - Channel, locales, attributes, filter export products per - family.
- Select the credentials for the export profile and run it to export products to Adobe Commerce store.
Import Downloadable Products to Akeneo
Akeneo users will create an import profile and choose the job type as Magento 2 Downloadable Product import. The user after that, will run it to import the products into Akeneo.
- Create import job Select channels and locales accordingly.
- Choose to import only new products as required.
- Choose to import specific products using the identifier.
- Select the credentials for this import job.
- Run the job to import products from Magento 2 store to Akeneo.
