Odoo Excel Connector is an Odoo app that exports records from any Odoo model to MS Excel or LibreOffice Calc spreadsheets.
Admins create an Excel template in Odoo, pick a model and its fields, and save. Odoo then generates a unique URL and access token for that template.
Paste the URL into a spreadsheet, or open the ODC file in MS Excel. Excel or Calc then pulls the selected Odoo data as rows and columns.
Domain rules limit which records are exported. Each template also has a responsible user, a language, and a company.
It supports Odoo 16, 17, 18, and 19. Spreadsheets can refresh the linked data at an interval set inside Excel or Calc.

Why Do We Need Odoo Excel Connector?
Odoo Excel Connector lets teams export Odoo data to MS Excel or LibreOffice Calc sheets that stay current.
Odoo can export a list view to a file, but that file is a one-time copy. It goes out of date as soon as records change.
Teams that report in spreadsheets must export, download, and paste the data again for every update. Mistakes creep in and time is lost.
Each export template gets a live URL instead. A connected sheet fetches fresh records whenever it refreshes.

Create an Excel Export Template in Odoo
An Excel Template form defines what data a spreadsheet receives. Admins open Excel Connector > Excel Template and click Create.
- Enter a Template Name to identify the export.
- Select the Model whose records you want to export, such as Account.
- Assign a Responsible user for the template.
- Set the Language for the export.
- Choose the Company the export belongs to.
- Find saved templates in a list with Filters, Group By, and Favorites.
Select Fields to Export to the Spreadsheet
In the Fields tab, admins set the columns of the exported sheet. Each line maps one Odoo field to a column label.
- Click Add a line to add a field from the selected model.
- Edit the Name/Label to control the column heading in the sheet.
- Check the Model column to confirm where each field comes from.
- Drag the handle to change the column order.
- Remove a field with the delete icon.
Filter Export Data with Domain Rules
Rules in the Domain tab decide which records are exported. Only records that match the rules appear in Excel or Calc.
- Start from Match all records to export the full model.
- Click Add Filter to create a rule on any field.
- Combine rules so records match all or any of them.
- See the live record count before you save.
Secure Export URL and Access Token
Saving a template generates a unique URL and access token. Since the URL carries the token, only people with the link can read the data.
- Copy the URL shown under Use this url in excel to connect to this template.
- View the current Access Token on the template form.
- Click Generate New Token to create a new token and URL.
- A new token disconnects every spreadsheet that used the old URL.
Track Access History of Connected Sheets
Access History lists every spreadsheet that reads the template. Admins can spot unknown clients and check refresh load.
- See the IP Address of each connected Excel or Calc sheet.
- Check the Created on and Last Used Date of each connection.
- Review the Frequency(sec) between data requests.
- Count requests in the No of Times Used column.
- Clear all records with the Flush History button.
Download ODC File and Manage Template Status
An ODC file lets MS Excel connect to a template without typing the URL. A status bar controls whether a template is in use.
- Click Download ODC File to get the connection file for MS Excel.
- The ODC file uses the latest URL after a token refresh.
- Move a template between Draft, Active, and Inactive.
- Use the Action menu to delete a template you no longer need.
Link Odoo Data in LibreOffice Calc
LibreOffice Calc reads the template URL as an external data source. Calc then fills the sheet with the exported Odoo records.
It suits teams that work in Calc and want Odoo figures to stay current.
- Open Sheet > Link to External Data in LibreOffice Calc.
- Paste the template URL in URL of External Data Source.
- Tick Update every and set the refresh interval.
- Click OK to load the Odoo records into the sheet.

How does Odoo Excel Connector work?
Odoo Excel Connector creates an export template with a model, fields, and filters. Saving it generates a URL that MS Excel or LibreOffice Calc uses to load the data.
Can I export data from any Odoo module?
Yes. Each template exports one Odoo model, and you can create templates for as many models as you need.
Does it work with LibreOffice Calc as well as MS Excel?
Yes. MS Excel connects through the URL or the ODC file. LibreOffice Calc connects through Sheet > Link to External Data with the template URL.
Does the spreadsheet update when Odoo data changes?
Each refresh loads the latest Odoo data into the sheet. You set the refresh interval inside Excel or Calc, for example with the Update every option in Calc.
Can I send data from Excel back to Odoo?
No. Odoo Excel Connector is one-way. It exports data from Odoo to the spreadsheet and does not write changes back to Odoo.
What happens when I generate a new access token?
A new token and URL are created, and every sheet using the old URL stops receiving data. Share the new URL or a fresh ODC file with the people who still need access.
How can I see who is using an export link?
Open the Access History tab of the template. It lists each IP address with its created date, last used date, frequency, and number of uses.
Can I export only some records?
Yes. Add rules in the Domain tab of the template. Only records that match the rules are sent to the spreadsheet.
Which Odoo versions are supported?
