Opencart Replace Add to Cart: Opencart Replace Add to Cart module allows the admin to set the specification so as to where the Add to Cart button will redirect the customer. On clicking the add to cart button the customer will be redirected to either the link, phone number, or simply the text. On the backend, the admin can specify the functionality which is to be performed by the add to cart button.

Opencart Replace Add to Cart: The major functionality that Opencart Replace Add to Cart module is that it eases things for the customers.
For instance, if the customer needs to contact the store owner, and if the admin has specified the action for Add to Cart button as Phone, on clicking the add to cart button a pop-up will appear displaying the contact details of the admin/store owner.
This reduces the time wastage scenario for the customers. On a mouse click the user is redirected to the required link or email etc. This is to minimize chaos situations for the customers so that customers do not face issues while making a purchase.

Add to Cart as Text, Link, Phone, Email
The admin can define the configurations under Type as Text, Link, Phone, and Email.
Define Actions for Custom Add to Cart
The Actions are chosen by the admin that will get the functionalities of the options chosen under “Type”.
Contact Admin
The customer can view the admin’s contact details if the admin has chosen Type and Action and as “Phone”.
Chose Different Action with a Type
The admin can choose for example, ‘Text’ under “Type” and ‘Link’ against the Action tab.
Module configuration
Once the module is successfully installed, the admin can configure the settings of the module. The admin will have to configure the Status field, Store field, Type Field and the Action Field.
Under the Typer tab, the admin will have to choose a type and thereafter choose an action which will get the functionalities of the option chosen under the Type tab.
- The admin can select Text option for both type and action tabs
- The admin may add the type and action as Link in the admin panel.
- Under type, the admin can select Email and configure Action as Email as well.
- The admin configures both type and action as Phone.
- The admin may choose a different action which needs to be performed on a type.
Change Add to Cart Label
Once the module is successfully configured, the admin can select the option for the Type and the Action tabs. This feature alters the text part of the Add to Cart button enhancing the user experience.
- The admin can choose the “Text” option for both the Type and Action tabs.
- The admin will have to add the text which will be replaced for ‘Add to Cart’ text.
- The customer can view the altered text in the frontend.
- This feature will increase the UI factor of the Opencart store.
Change Add to Cart Redirect Link
To ease things for the customer the admin can provide a feature through which the customer can directly switch to another page which may be a product page, a category page, checkout page, etc. On configuring the Type and the Action tab as Link, the admin can provide a link which is associated with the add to cart button.
- The admin can add a link of a product page, checkout page, category page etc.
- On clicking the add to cart button, customers are redirected to the page associated with the link which the admin has added.
- This way the customer will not have to go hither and thither, ending up in a chaotic situation.
- This feature will help increase the user experience thus creating more customers for the store.
Add to Cart - Email
Thorugh the Replace Add to Cart Button, the admin can provide to the customers an Email feature as well. This means if the admin chooses both Type and Action as Email, the customers can add and ask queries to the admin under the Ask tab.
- Under Type > Email, either Admin or the Custom option is chosen.
- If Admin is chosen, the mail will be sent to the admin.
- If the Custom option is chosen, the admin will add a custom email id on which the mail will be sent.
- The customers can choose a product, click on the add to cart button and a pop up “Ask Questions to Admin” will appear.
- The customers can provide the Subject, Mail From and add a query for the admin.
Add to Cart - Phone
Another interesting feature of the Replace Add to Cart button is that the customer can access the contact details of the admin on simply clicking the add to cart button. The admin configures the Type and Action tabs as Phone. On simply clicking the add to cart button, the customer can view the contact details of the admin.
- The admin will add the phone number details under Type > Phone.
- The admin can add more than one contact numbers.
- The customers can view the contact details just by clicking the add to cart button.
- A pop up appears which includes the name, email and the phone number of the admin.
Frontend Workflow- Add to Cart Redirect
The multiple functionalities of the add to cart button will simplify things for the customers. The customers will not have to run from pillar to post.
Just by clicking the add to cart button, the customers can access multiple functionalities and will not have to navigate the whole store.
On clicking the add to cart button, the customers will be redirected to the link which is configured at the backend.
