 What is the use of this module and why should use it?

Live chat system is the fastest and the easiest way for the customers to reach out to the vendors. A vendor can manage multiple queries at once and reply to customers. Using chat system, the vendors can provide a personalized experience to each customer. Buyer Seller Chat Marketplace Add-on has various uses, it lets customers do quick login as well sign-up from the chat window. Also, customers and vendors can share files, images, documents over the chat messages.

 Module Configuration

The admin has the following options available for configuring the Buyer-Seller Chat:

  • Host Name – Enter the hostname of your online store.
  • Port Number – Enter any available port number for the chat system.
  • Start/Stop Server – Enable or disable the Buyer-Seller Chat server.
  • Chat Name – Set the storefront name for the Buyer-Seller Chat.
  • HTTPS Enabled – Supports Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) websites.
  • Set file size limit for attachments.

 Sound Alerts

Whenever someone sends a new message, the chat user also hears the sound alert for the chat message.The customers and the sellers can both enable or disable the sound alerts for the new chat messages from the chat window settings.

When any new message is received by a customer or a seller, the pop-up notification will appear on top. The pop-up notification will show the chat user name, profile icon, message, and the hostname.

 Seller Chat Panel

The Marketplace Chat System side panel will appear on the right. Here all the online customers who have initiated the chat with this seller will appear.
