Manage product warranties and renewal with Odoo Website Warranty Management!
Providing a warranty to customers is very beneficial for a business. It permits you to display care and dedication towards customers, improve customer loyalty, increase customer satisfaction, and enhance revenue.
Odoo Website Warranty Management allows you to create, manage, and track warranties of products directly from the Odoo backend. It will enable the customer to buy products with a warranty, for free, or after paying some amount.
From the Odoo backend, you can configure the warranty period and type (Paid or free). Also, you can allow renewal options to the customers. Warranty management sends an automatic email notification to the customer once the delivery is done. The mail contains the warranty terms and details. The module automatically records the warranty commencement and end date when delivery is done.
The warranty management module automatically sends a warranty renewal notification to customers before the product warranty expires. Admin can also check the warranty details of various products in the Odoo backend. Similarly, customers can also check their purchased product warranties from their accounts.

Enable or Disable Product Warranty from Odoo Backend
- Enable or disable the warranty for a product from the backend.
- Auto-approve product warranty or do it manually.
Configure Warranty details per Product
- Configure settings like warranty period and type from the product warranty section.
- You can also set the renewal period and fee.
Automatic Updates of Warranty and Notifications
- Customers receive mail notification of warranty details on product delivery confirmation.
- Once the delivery is done, the system will automatically generate the commencement and end date.
View Warranty Details of any Product
- You can view the warranty details of any product through the ‘Warranty Registration section.
- Also, you can manage the product warranties from the same section.
Customer Can View Product Warranty
- From My Account selection, customers can view the warranty of their every purchase.
- Also, they can register for a new warranty from the sales order itself.
Warranty Renewal Request and Approval
- Customers can raise a warranty renewal request from the warranty page.
- Admin can verify warranty renewal request, and on successful renewal, they will receive an automatic confirmation mail.
Configuring Product Warranty in Odoo Backend
- The warranty Management module allows you to add warranties to products.
- You can set the type as free or paid while configuring.
- From the Odoo backend, set the price for paid warranty.
- Set the warranty duration in days, months, years, etc.
- Define whether to auto-assign warranty on delivery validation or do it manually.
- Enable or disable the renewal option for a product.
- Specify the details like type (paid, free), duration, etc.
- You can also set the maximum renewal times for a product.
Warranty Registration and Renewal from the Customer end
- Customers can register for a warranty after they receive the product(s).
- They can also renew an existing warranty before it expires.
- They will get a mail notification for renewal reminders before the expiry of the warranty.
- Customers can view the commencement and expiry date of every product they bought.
- They can even download the warranty receipt or slip from the warranty listing panel.
- From the backend, the admin can also approve or reject the warranty.
- In the warranty registration mail, the customer will get the warranty terms and conditions.
