Magento 2 WhatsApp Login extension allows your website users to register and sign up using their registered WhatsApp numbers. The admin needs to make a few initial configuration settings. After that, the users at your website can register and log in using their registered WhatsApp Number. This eliminates Magento 2 lengthy registration forms and password creation.
On the customer registration page, the users will find an option to register via WhatsApp. Here, the user enters their registered WhatsApp number to receive an OTP. After entering the OTP using WhatsApp authentication verification, the account gets created for the user with a default email and password. - Enter the OTP to verify, and a new customer account gets created at the Magento 2 store.
Sign In Using WhatsApp Number
The registered users who have already registered using their WhatsApp number can sign in to their accounts on the sign-up page and at the checkout page as well. Customers can sign in to their account using their registered WhatsApp number. AlsoTo do so, the customer will -
- Tap the Sign In With WhatsApp button.
- Enter their registered WhatsApp number that was used previously for registration purposes.
- Request the OTP on their registered WhatsApp number.
- Enter the OTP to validate their account.
- The customer gets signed into their account.
OTP Verification on Order Place
The customers also get the feature wherein before placing the order they have to verify and authenticate via OTP received on their registered WhatsApp mobile number. After the verification, the order gets placed. So, this OTP verification and authentication process is helpful to the customers as only the verified ones will be able to place the orders.
- Customers need to verify & authenticate the OTP received on their WhatsApp number before placing the order.
