Digital receipt is an expanding market. Now, many users prefer a digital receipt over a printed one. The digital receipt market is estimated to reach $2.3 billion by 2027. And it's growing at a CAGR of 7.5% during 2022-2027.
Odoo POS Digital Receipt is a digital transaction record of your POS purchase. You can download and store the receipt for uncertain time. The Odoo app prints a QR code on the receipt. It also sends an email containing a digital receipt link from the POS. Customers can access and download the digital receipt and review their shopping experience using the rating bar.

- The module has a simple configuration to introduce digital receipts in Odoo.
- You can enable the ‘QR Codes’ and ‘Digital Receipts Share Via Mail’ options by the checkboxes.

- The Odoo app shows the QR code on the printed receipt to access the digital receipt.
- Or you can send the digital receipt directly to the customer on their email using the ‘Email Digital Receipt’ button.

- The digital receipt download page contains a rating slider to rate their experience.

- The Module shows the rating provided by the customer in the backend on the order.
Setting Up POS Digital Receipt
- The module allows adding a QR code to the receipt in Odoo.
- QR code allows you to access the digital receipt by scanning it.
- You can also enable the send receipt via email option in the POS.
- The option lets you send the receipt download link with just a click.
- The Odoo app also records the rating in the POS order in the backend.
- You can easily configure and use the module in Odoo POS.
- Enable or disable the required QR code setting from the Odoo backend.
Downloading Digital Receipt
- The module allows sending a digital receipt download link directly to the user’s mail.
- Users can download the digital receipt by opening the link.
- Also, they can rate their shopping experience from the rating slider.
- The digital receipt shows the entire details of the user's purchase.
- Ratings are recorded in the Odoo backend for future reference.
- You can send mail through the Email Digital Receipt button.
- Email can be sent directly to the user from the POS session.
