Odoo Marketplace Membership lets admins create and offer structured membership plans to vendors. Sellers pick a plan that fits their budget and join the marketplace with full clarity.
This module supports free trial periods for new sellers. Admins set the number of trial days and enable a pop-up reminder so sellers act before the trial ends.
Once a seller picks a plan and completes payment, the membership goes live. It activates either after the sale order is confirmed or once the invoice is paid, based on your settings.
Vendors who want to move to a better plan can upgrade anytime. The system charges only the price difference for the remaining days; no full repayment needed.
After a plan expires, sellers enter a grace period if the admin has enabled it. If no grace period is set, all vendor products are auto-unpublished from the marketplace immediately.
Admins get a clear membership timeline for every seller showing trial, active, and grace stages. This module also supports pricelist pricing, downgrade controls, renewal alerts, and one-click membership cancellation.

Why Do We Need This Module?
Odoo Marketplace does not come with a built-in membership or subscription system for vendors. There is no way to restrict seller access, set product limits per plan, or handle expiry automatically.
Without a membership system, any seller can join and list unlimited products. This makes it hard to earn from the marketplace or keep the quality of listings in check.
Tracking vendor access by hand takes a lot of time. Admins have to check expiry dates, send reminders, and unpublish products one by one. This slows things down and adds to the workload.
Odoo Marketplace Membership fixes this by handling the full vendor lifecycle on its own. From trial signup to plan expiry, this module takes care of every step with very little admin effort.
It also makes billing fair with prorated upgrades and pricelist-based pricing. Sellers get the freedom to choose, and admins get steady revenue from clear plan commitments.

Can the admin create more than one membership plan?
Yes, Admins can create unlimited Odoo Marketplace Subscription plans, each with its own price, duration, product limit, and facilities.
What happens to vendor products once their membership plan expires?
Odoo Marketplace Membership module auto-unpublishes all products of that vendor once the membership expires and the grace period ends.
Can vendors downgrade their membership plan?
Only if the admin allows it. The admin can enable or block downgrades from the marketplace settings panel.
How does the prorated upgrade work?
When a vendor upgrades mid-cycle, only the price difference for the remaining plan days is calculated and charged. No full repayment is needed.
Can the admin set the trial period length?
Yes. The admin can configure the exact number of trial days and toggle the trial feature on or off from the settings.
What is the grace period and how does it work?
The grace period is extra time given to sellers after membership expires. They can renew within this window without losing marketplace access or product listings.
Will vendors be notified before their membership expires?
Yes, Automated email alerts go out based on the reminder days the admin sets. Pop-up alerts also appear during trial and grace periods.
Can the admin cancel a vendor's membership manually?
Yes, the admin can cancel any vendor's membership from the backend at any time, which also unpublishes their products immediately.
Where can sellers check and track their membership timeline?
Sellers can view their timeline by going to the seller dashboard → My Profile → Marketplace Settings & Details → MP Membership tab. Admins can also check it from the vendor profile in the backend.
Does this module support pricelist-based pricing for membership plans?
Yes, Admins can create pricelist rules for each plan with fixed price, discount, or formula-based pricing options.
